Information Processed

• Files you upload for extraction, including PDFs, images, text files, CSV files, spreadsheets, and supported Office documents.
• List names, column definitions, extraction instructions, row mode, open or collapsed state, and the extracted rows returned to your browser.
• A random, tab-scoped identifier sent to OpenAI as a safety identifier without your name or email address.
• The tab-scoped identifier, your browser language, uploaded filenames, and upload timestamps for basic operational analytics.
• If you sign in, a site-specific user identifier, email address, and optional display name supplied through the hosting platform's authenticated request headers.
• A cookie preference value that records whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice.
• Operational request data that hosting providers normally process, such as IP address, browser details, timestamps, and service logs.
• Messages you send if you contact Listra by email.

How Processing Works

Uploaded files are sent to the server route for the extraction request you initiate. The server keeps file bytes in request memory and does not intentionally write uploads, extracted rows, or exports to persistent storage.

To generate structured extraction output, the server sends the relevant file content, column definitions, and extraction prompt directly to the OpenAI Responses API with storage disabled.

Listra saves list names, column settings, extraction hints, row modes, and open or collapsed state in your browser's local storage so those setups remain available on that browser. Uploaded files and extracted rows are not included in that saved data.

When you add a supported file, Listra stores only its filename together with the anonymous tab identifier, browser language, and upload time. File contents are not written to this analytics database.

After extraction, the server returns rows to your browser. Uploaded files and extracted rows remain temporary and are removed when you refresh or close the page.

Optional Authentication

Sign in with ChatGPT is optional and is handled by the hosting platform. Listra does not receive or store your ChatGPT password or create a separate password database.

Authenticated identity is used to display your account details and enable the higher 50-file workspace limit. The stable site-specific user identifier is different across Sites.

AI Processing

OpenAI may process uploaded files, prompts, and extracted text to provide the AI extraction response. OpenAI controls its own infrastructure, terms, privacy commitments, logging, and abuse monitoring.

OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models by default. Abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days, subject to OpenAI's policies and legal obligations.

AI-generated results can be incomplete or incorrect. Review the extracted rows before downloading or relying on them.

Retention

Listra does not intentionally retain uploaded file contents or extracted rows in an application database. Upload metadata—anonymous tab identifier, browser language, filename, and timestamp—is retained for up to 90 days for basic operational analytics.

Saved extraction-list settings remain in your browser's local storage until you delete the relevant list or clear Listra's site data in your browser.

CSV and Excel downloads are created in your browser and are then handled by your browser and device.

Your Choices

• Do not upload files unless you have the right to process them with Listra and OpenAI.
• Remove rows from the browser table before exporting if you do not want them included in the downloaded file.
• Refresh or close the page to remove temporary files and extracted rows. Delete a list or clear Listra's site data to remove saved list settings.
• Contact Listra for privacy questions or requests.

Cookies

Listra does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It uses one preference cookie, listra_cookie_choice, solely to remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice.

The preference cookie contains only your choice, is available across Listra pages, and expires after 180 days. You can remove it at any time through your browser settings.

Security and Changes

Listra uses reasonable technical and organizational measures for this tool, but no online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
